10 Emotional MCU Scenes That Made You Cry
7. Peggy And Steve's Goodbye - Captain America: The First Avenger
Steve Rogers was an underdog in every sense of the word. A small and skinny man who could barely hold his own in the field. Nobody believed he could make it big someday, which is why his eventual transformation into Captain America shocked many.
But Steve still had many problems ahead of him, primarily since he still couldn’t handle the responsibility that came with being Earth’s first superhero.
He doubted himself constantly, fighting against both Hydra and his insecurities. Even though there were moments where he felt like giving up, he stuck through, and there was one person that was with him always: Peggy Carter, the woman he would grow to love.
However, all would end when Steve had to make the decision that would define him for life. In a tragic moment, he has to choose between staying alive and saving the population of New York. It was difficult, but he chose the latter, saying one last heartfelt goodbye to his love Peggy before he plunges and goes into a coma for the next seventy years.
It’s a scene that’s emotional—fitting for the character and would be used to define Captain America moving forward.
