10 Emotional Movie Scenes That Will Make You Cry

7. Brian And Dom's Last Race - Fast & Furious 7

Now, let's not mince words here: there's no way we can declare the ending of Fast & Furious 7 to be devoid of schmaltz. It's a manipulative, sentimental sequence specifically designed to make the audience weepy; and within the context of the film itself, it makes no sense whatsoever.

Yet, what else could director James Wan, producer/star Vin Diesel and co have done? How could they have ended the last film of the sadly missed series stalwart Paul Walker any other way?

While the filmmakers tastefully opted not to kill off Walker's character Brian (finishing his scenes with CGI and the late actor's brothers as stand-ins), the film had to acknowledge the tragic loss of a figure so beloved by fans - and, as such, this fourth-wall breaking finale was the result.

To the tones of Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth's See You Again, we have mournful goodbye looks from Walker's co-stars before Diesel's Dom faces off against him on one last road race, interspersed with a montage of Walker's best Fast & Furious moments.

Then the roads diverge, Walker's car goes its own way, the camera pans up to the sky... and all the lads in the audience cough awkwardly, denying anything is wrong.

Ben Bussey hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
