10 Epic Comic Book Movie Castings That Must Happen In 2016

6. Charlize Theron - Captain Marvel

Charlize Theron is one of the most sought after actresses in Hollywood - can you imagine if she ended up playing Carol Danvers (AKA Captain Marvel) come time for a solo flick? With Theron, not only would the MCU have added an Oscar-winning actress to the mix, but somebody who is capable of insane dramatic turns. And remember how badass she was in Mad Max: Fury Road? Theron is one of the strongest females working in the motion picture business today, and whilst Emily Blunt - another rumoured casting decision - would almost certainly pack a punch, too, Theron feels more suited to the character aesthetically. Danvers is, of course, a Major in the United States Air Force at the start of her story, so it's entirely necessary that the actress who is cast is believable as such. Given that Theron's Furiosa was inarguably the toughest character in Fury Road, there's no doubting her ability to pull that off. Also: she's a big-time feminist - a trait she'll share with Captain Marvel. "Theron is almost 40," some naysayers have said on her potential casting. "She's too old." Who cares? Marvel should be bold with this and forget about age. She's the one, guys.
