10 Epic Movie Marathons To Pass The Time Right Now
4. The Quentin Tarantinoverse
Before the MCU was even a glint in Kevin Feige's eye, Quentin Tarantino had already set all of his movies in the same shared universe without anybody even noticing.
Through fictitious product placement, background Easter Eggs, references in the script or the constant revelations that many of his characters are related to or descended from one another, every project that Tarantino has either written or directed takes place within his own unique and interconnected narrative.
Going back to the start, the chronological Tarantinoverse kicks off with Django Unchained, The Hateful Eight, Inglorious Basterds and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, with his modern-day stories running from Reservoir Dogs through to Death Proof.
A QT marathon allows you to keep your eyes peeled for these subtle nods, as well as providing a somewhat linear viewing experience that you don't always get with his scripts. The Tarantinothon isn't just limited to movies that he's directed either, with True Romance, Natural Born Killers and even From Dusk Till Dawn all featuring connections to events that happen in his output from behind the camera.
If you can stomach the constant stream of profanity, graphic violence and increasingly-lengthy running time of the movies, then a deep dive into the thirteen canonical installments of the Tarantinoverse from 1992 to 2019 will occupy a lot of the abundant free time that many of us have these days.
