The Rise of Skywalker may have proved to be hugely divisive among fans, but re-watching the entire Star Wars franchise from the very beginning could well lead to some people offering J.J. Abrams' concluding chapter to the Skywalker Saga a complete reappraisal.

Watching the sci-fi series in chronological order seems like the most sensible way to conduct a Star Wars marathon, and it also allows you to get the much-maligned prequels over and done with as soon as possible. Once Revenge of the Sith is out of the way, it's straight onto the Anthology stories before seeing how favorably the sequel trilogy holds up against George Lucas' beloved original Episodes.

The recent expansion of the franchise fills in plenty of gaps and offers new insights, and it would be interesting to see how the pieces of the entire overarching narrative fit together when viewed start to finish as one cohesive story that took over 40 years to achieve.

If that still isn't enough and you're either a Star Wars superfan or just feeling extremely brave, The Clone Wars animated movie, seven seasons of the show of the same name, four seasons of Rebels, two of Resistance and The Mandalorian's eight episodes are all also considered official canon, and paint the most complete possible picture of a galaxy far, far away.

I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
