10 Essential Avengers Villains Not Yet Used In The Movies

1. Kang The Conqueror

Kang the Conqueror
Marvel Comics

One of the most iconic and intimidating villains the Avengers have ever had to face, Kang is a futuristic time travelling warlord from an alternate timeline who, while villainous, has a code of conduct and an interest in keeping order in a chaotic universe. He's clashed with the Avengers on multiple occasions, and has even appeared in the Earth's Mightiest Heroes series as a sympathetic but dangerous enemy.

Even with multiple incarnations, Kang and his goals remain clear and simple—to conquer. His status as a great benefactor in his own time makes him an interesting villain in his own right, a complexity that audiences would definitely appreciate. The fact that what makes him a benefactor to some makes him a villain to others is fascinating, to be sure, and deserves to be explored onscreen. Also, time travel. Always fun, always crazy.

If Marvel gets around to a Young Avengers adaptation onscreen, his younger self's role as Iron Lad would make for some gripping drama, showing how his status as a time traveller lets fans explore the "What Ifs" of his life in ways you never could with other villains. That's definitely the kind of villain you'd never get tired of.
