While it’s easy to swoon over those supervillains with elaborate, spectacular and otherworldly powers, sometimes there can be nothing better than a straight-up street level bad guy who has zero special abilities. And one such rogue is the clinical Onomatopoeia.

Upon being brought back from the dead by writer Kevin Smith in 2001, Oliver Queen soon found himself going up against a new impact-making rogue. To make sure that you knew this newbie was a big-time threat, Onomatopoeia soon put a bullet in the brain of Oliver’s son, Connor Hawke, aka the second Green Arrow.

Largely used as a Green Arrow or Batman villain in his appearances to date, the mysterious Onomatopoeia – we still have no idea who he is or what he looks like, but we do know he has a wife and two kids at home who are oblivious to his evil antics – has proven to be emotionless and to-the-point with his murder sprees.

Added to that, the only words that ever come out of this rogue’s mouth are ones that mimic the sounds of the unfolding situation he finds himself in. Whether that would translate so well to live-action, that’s a whole other debate. But Onomatopoeia in the DCEU? Make it happen.
