10 Essential Marvel Events Not Yet Used In The Movies
4. Secret Wars
Both incarnations of this event would make for some insane and gratifying cinematic experiences, with it characterising the grand scale Marvel crossover events are most known for.
The first instance of Secret Wars, released in the eighties, was the comics equivalent of mashing superhero toys together and forcing them to battle, which is exactly what Marvel did with their heroes and villains, with the powerful Beyonder sending them to Battleworld to duke it out gladiator style. There are many significant events that took place during these battles, including the first introduction of Spider-Man's black suit, the infamous symbiote that forms the villain Venom.
The second instance of Secret Wars released in 2015 sees Marvel's many multiverses fuse together in Battleworld after the world-ending "incursions" destroyed most of them in cataclysmic fashion. Though it would take a lot of (literal) world-building to get to the point where the universes would be forced to clash, the epic scale and high stakes could capture audiences everywhere, as well as the inherent entertainment factor of seeing multiple versions of classic heroes meet and work together, or fight each other.
