10 Famous Actors Who Were Forced To Appear In Movies Against Their Will

4. Emily Blunt - Gulliver's Travels

Emily Blunt might have pretended that she actually wanted to make the Jack Black remake of Gulliver's Travels when asked about it during press junkets ("I loved the script," she was quoted as saying, before adding that she thought it was "really charming and witty and definitely a more light-hearted version of the Jonathan Swift novel"), but the Sicario actress was clearly just going through the motions when she stated as such. In truth, it's thought that Blunt was actually fulfilling a non-specific picture deal that she signed with 20th Century Fox and that they pressured her to appear alongside Jack Black in the low-end comedy movie. What Blunt really wanted to be doing instead? Starring alongside Robert Downey Jr. in Iron Man 2, of course, as Black Widow (AKA Natasha Romanoff). She was offered the role, but had to turn it down due to Gulliver's Travels. Scarlett Johansson was cast in the role instead, and has since gone on to appear in a further four Marvel movies, grossing billions. Gulliver's Travels, though? Nobody remembers it.
