6. Kevin Bacon - Friday the 13th

Ok, maybe this is a relatively well known one, but still fun to look back on. Is it really that surprising that the Bacon, the most connected man in Hollywood, started out in the first instalment of what was to become the longest running slasher franchise in history? Maybe, as back then Kevin Bacon was as unknown as the rest of this list. He plays another run of the mill hormonal teenage heartthrob (because there are never enough of those going around apparently) who takes a spike through the neck halfway through the film. Bacon served a dual purpose for the film - He was attractive enough to convince girlfriends to tag along to see the film, but he also played the stock victim that could bear the brutal scene in which he died.
Now
As mentioned before, Bacon went from dead loverboy to centre of the Hollywood universe. He starred in many blockbusters, such as Apollo 13, The River Wild, Murder in the First and Mystic River. The awards havent been particularly kind to him, but he has household name status and a series of adverts where he plays multiple versions of himself, as well as a kickass surname. That alone makes him a pretty cool guy.
