He Knows Youre Alone is a little known slasher film that starred Tom Hanks as Elliot, a psychologist who spends the majority of screen time either psychoanalysing other characters or whining. While Hanks portrays him well the character is confusing at the best of times, and was actually originally written to be killed off. However, Hanks was so impressive in his debut that the filmmakers cut out his death because Elliot became more likeable than they had originally expected.

Hanks is another celebrity whose career needs no real description. Hanks has swept awards ceremonies from roles like Philadelphia, Forrest Gump, Cast Away, The Green Mile and Apollo 13, but his filmography is full of films worth mentioning and long enough that it could crash the site if I try to. Hanks is simply one of the greatest actors in history and even his debut was hugely above expectation thanks to the legend himself doing what he does best.
