10. The Dreaming (Vertigo)
A Dream of the Endless film would be fantastic (I always imagined Tim Burton directing it, but that's probably a bad idea) and Dream's realm - the Dreaming - would potentially look stunning if it ever happened. The Dreaming is the place where all dreams reside and the place where everybody goes when they are sleeping. It is said to be infinite, yet it is bounded on every side. The most visually striking part of the Dreaming is the castle (pictured) which belongs to Morpheus (AKA Dream AKA the Sandman) himself - a typical haunted house type setting that is watched over by a Gryphon, a Wyvern and a Hippogriff. The castle is home to a library, guarded by Lucien, which is home to books containing all of the stories that have ever been dreamed - volumes that do not exist in the waking world. Other prominent areas of the Dreaming include Abel's House of Secrets, Cain's House of Mystery, Eve's Cave and Fiddler's Green.
