To be perfectly honest, Equilibrium kind of sucks. Kurt Wimmer's dystopian sci-fi actioner boasts some good ideas but doesn't develop them well enough, leading to a fairly derivative genre flick. However, there is one saving grace that is also the very thing people tend to remember most about the move; Gun. F**king. Kata.

Christian Bale's Cleric uses the theory that 'the geometric distribution of antagonists in any gun battle is a statistically-predictable element' to kick some serious tail dispatching of well over 100 enemies, with over 50 wiped out during the hallway shootout alone. Of course, Preston isn't just a one-trick pony and slices a guy's face of with a razor-sharp katana for good measure, adding a little variety to his killing spree.
