You knew it was coming.

Rogue One, or Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, to use its full title, will be the eighth live-action movie in perhaps the world’s best-loved franchise, but the first to spin off from the core narrative. And if last year’s The Force Awakens taught us anything, it’s that the much-derided prequel trilogy was just a stop over in the Star Wars pantheon.

As you’re probably already aware, Rogue One will tell the story of plucky Rebel fighters looking to steal the plans to the Galactic Empire’s nascent Death Star. And you’re also probably already aware of the outcome too, yet the evident anticipation from Star Wars junkies and casual moviegoers alike only goes to show just how rabid the demand is for more tales from a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away,

Gareth Edwards is calling the shots as Felicity Jones, Forest Whitaker and Mads Mikkelsen head up the cast of the first stand-alone Star Wars Anthology film, and a billion-dollar take is surely a given; anything less would likely prove the year’s biggest box office shock.

Which of these films do you think will pass the $1 billion mark at the box office? Share your picks down in the comments.

I watch movies and I watch sport. I also watch movies about sport, and if there were a sport about movies I'd watch that too. The internet was the closest thing I could find.
