10 Films That Dominated CinemaCon

Paramount's panel had a lot on its plate, but nothing at the entirety of CinemaCon quite compared to their biggest bet. Mission: Impossible director, Christopher McQuarrie, and Tom Cruise came out on stage to show raw footage of one of the film's stunts.

The most insane thing is, the stunt only takes up three minutes of screentime and was described as, in no way, the most complex stunt of the production. Yet, it featured Tom Cruise and Henry Cavill doing a skydive at 25,000 feet, with a cameraman jumping out with them to capture it all.

McQuarrie and Cruise went on to explain exactly how the stunt was accomplished in-camera, with Cruise stating;

“Each take is like running an 800 meter sprint. We did 106 takes.”

The stunt was so impressive and well-staged that many attendees shared their utter disbelief at what their eyes had just seen, online afterward. McQuarrie and Cruise were so matter-of-fact in their presentation of the stunt that it left many all-the-more excited to see what else they have in store, with McQuarrie stating that their driving mantra was;

“How much is physically possible without killing Tom?”
