4. The Predator
Years ago, it was announced Shane Black would be returning to the franchise he helped start, writing and directing a new installment in the Predator franchise. At Fox's panel, attendees finally got a look at exactly what a fully Shane Black Predator film might look like, and the verdict was very good.
The footage shown showed off the incredible cast, consisting of Olivia Munn, Thomas Jane, Jacob Tremblay, Sterling K. Brown, Keegan-Michael Key, and Boyd Holbrook, as well as some Black's trademark genre-splicing. The footage was simultaneously funny and heavy on both action and gore.
The film has been plagued with rumors of poor test screenings and substantial reshoots in the past few months, but none of that seems to matter much. Attendees took to Twitter to share how much they loved the footage, with the prevailing verdict being that it looks incredibly smart, violent, and brave. In other words, it looks like a Shane Black film.
