10 Giant Plot-Holes You Didn’t Notice In 2016’s Biggest Movies

8. Ageing Gone Wrong - X-Men: Apocalypse

Considering that X-Men: First Class is set in 1962 and Apocalypse in 1983, it's safe to say that the returning characters should've aged a bit, but nope, not really.

Magneto (a 39-year-old Michael Fassbender) is apparently 53 years old in the movie, Mystique (a 25-year-old Jennifer Lawrence) is 49 even if her youth can be explained by her chameleonic nature, and most ludicrously of all, Alex Summers (25-year-old Lucas Till) is meant to be in his forties.

The film attempts to lampshade this a bit when Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) remarks how Moira McTaggert (Rose Byrne) hasn't aged a day since 1962, which given the mere five years between movies isn't terribly surprising.

It's utterly ridiculous and the party line basically seems to be "deal with it", but with future movies presumably moving into the 1990s, it's going to be even weirder for some of these characters to still be aging so gracefully.
