10 Great Comic Book Movie Performances You Might Have Missed

8. Michael Clarke Duncan as Kilowog, Green Lantern

lantern duncan Green Lantern is one of the most popular comics in any self-respecting fanboy's pull list these days. Part of that is due to Geoff Johns' superlative work on huge sprawling arcs as The Sinestro Corps War and part is doe to the book's rich supporting cast, none more beloved than Corps Drill Sergeant Kilowog. It was one thing to see Ryan Reynolds on Oa and trained by Tomar-Re, but another to finally see Kilowog in all his surly glory fully realised on screen, with a voice that seemed to have been his since the moment he was first created in the mid-80s. There simply was no other choice for Kilowog (well, MAYBE Dennis Haysbert) and his brief screen time left a large porcine dent in the minds of GL obsessives everywhere. Sadly, a new actor will need to fill in for the dearly departed Duncan in any sequel, but the chances of that happening any time soon are pretty slim.
