“You saw him yourself! He came at me with his knee! His sociopathic knee!”
Anders Tomas Jensen provides both a highly entertaining and provocative tale of good versus evil in this Danish masterpiece. Adam's Apples tells the tale of Neo-Nazi Adam's (Ulrich Thomsen) stay at a halfway house/church overseen by painfully optimistic priest, Ivan (Mads Mikkelsen), who is literally unable to see the negative side of any situation. Mads Mikkelsen and Ulrich Thomsen play off each other in a beautifully entertaining battle between good and evil, and provide career-defining performances that demand to be witnessed by the masses.
Jensen's distinct style of black comedy is on top form with Adam's Apples, making this clash of ideologies a treasure to behold. All you've got to do is go and behold it. Go on...
