Literally inspired by hallucinogenic experiences, Enter the Void chronicles the out-of-body flights of a man slowly dying from a gunshot wound inflicted in the bathroom stall of a crummy dive bar in Tokyo during a drug deal gone sour. A pulsing, neon treat for the senses, Enter the Void is also a depressing exploration of the confused relationships of an early adulthood cut tragically short. But its ruminations on life and death are strangely uplifting and the visuals alone make it worth a watch. This one is best enjoyed alone in your room at night as you slowly drift off to a very disconcerting dreamland.

Give it a listen. Five minutes. Maybe you'll dig it. Maybe you'll hate it. But at least you'll have tried something new.
