10 Great Movies Starring The American Horror Story Cast

8. Vice (2018) - Lily Rabe

Big Fish
Mirror Releasing

Lily Rabe is an American Horror Story staple, having appeared in nine of its ten seasons so far. She's been active in Hollywood since 2001, although AHS was undoubtedly her breakout role.

Rabe has appeared in numerous films, but perhaps her most notable big screen credit to date is her role as Liz Cheney in 2018 biopic Vice.

Rabe stars alongside Christian Bale's Dick Cheney as his eldest daughter, who openly opposes same sex marriage during a campaign for a senate seat. This puts her at odds with her lesbian younger sister Mary, who, interestingly, is played by Alison Pill, who starred in AHS: Cult (although not alongside Rabe, who was absent that season).

Vice was nominated for eight Academy Awards including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor (for Bale), and Best Supporting Actor and Actress (for Sam Rockwell and Amy Adams, respectively), and it won the Oscar that year for Best Makeup and Hairstyling. Bale also received a Golden Globe for his performance, for which he thanked Satan, citing him as inspiration for the role of Cheney.
