Chloƫ Sevigny might not be the most memorable of the American Horror Story ensemble, but she's had a pretty impressive career outside of the horror anthology.

Sevigny appeared as Shelley in Asylum, and starred in Asylum as Dr. Alex Lowe, a grieving mother/pediatrician-turned-vampire.

Long before she was cast in American Horror Story, Sevigny received critical acclaim for her roles in films such as Kids (1995) and Boys Don't Cry (1999), and appeared in supporting roles in American Psycho, Dogville and Mr. Nice.

However, Sevigny also appeared in David Fincher's Zodiac, in a relatively small supporting role that was all but lost among the film's mesmerisingly precise attention to detail.

For those who haven't seen it, Zodiac is based on the book of the same name by Robert Graysmith, detailing the investigation into the Zodiac Killer in the '60s and '70s. It stars Jake Gyllenhaal as Graysmith and Mark Ruffalo as Inspector Dave Toschi, with Sevigny appearing as Gyllenhaal's onscreen wife, Melanie.

It's a film that's both interesting and disturbing in equal measure, but it's a must-see for fans of true crime.
