Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead's Spring, released back in 2014, blends indie romantic drama with Lovecraftian horror in a thoroughly surprising, and hugely effective manner.

Lou Taylor Pucci (the Evil Dead remake) is Evan, a young American struggling to find direction who impulsively flies to Italy in search of some life experience. This he finds when he crosses paths with Louise (Nadia Hilker), a mysterious woman with whom he quickly becomes infatuated. However, there's a lot more to her than meets the eye.

Spring helped establish Benson and Moorhead as one of the best directorial duos in the business, in the wake of their feature debut Resolution. They've since done similarly sterling work on their recent festival hit, The Endless.

Ben Bussey hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
