4. Mark - Friday the 13th Part II
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sn8PvUELShA Mark has just given into the advances of fellow counselor in training, Vicki. While most of the other counselors headed into town for some drinking, Mark and a few others stayed behind. Vicki has been working pretty hard to get Mark interested and, when she gets the okay, leaves him alone on the deck of the lodge. Back to the staircase, he sits anxiously, smiling to himself. Before he can get any action, though, Jason gets him from behind, sticking his machete straight into Marks face, sending him and his wheelchair barreling down the stairs and hillside towards the lake at breakneck speed. Mark is, unfortunately, the weakling in the Part II cast. Nothing against people who cannot walk, however, a wheelchair is not an ideal mode of transportation in the woods. Which leads me to my point: Jason took out a seemingly harmless counselor. There wasnt much Mark could do if in a hand to hand combat with Jason. He couldnt run, he couldnt hide (very well), and had a distinct height disadvantage. Jason didnt care. He killed him anyway. Mark was the equivalent to shooting fish in a barrel. What makes this a great kill is that it dehumanizes Jason. Who kills a guy in a wheelchair? Jason does. Jason has no sympathy towards his victims and does not spare anyone from his wrath. Jason is a jerk. Plain and simple.
