2. Raiders Of The Lost Ark
http://youtu.be/dJ920fat50M This was the perfect introduction to one of cinema's most iconic characters. Although originally imagined as the American answer to James Bond, this opening scene proved that James Bond had nothing on Indiana Jones. This is edge of your seat, gripping and completely engrossing stuff and is so effective that this first 10 minutes from the Indiana Jones trilogy is the most iconic and still arguably the best scene in the entire movie series. This scene gave the audience the perfect taster into what they were to expect from the franchise and a lot of the films success probably has a lot to do with this brilliant opener. No one could watch just this opening 10 minutes without wanting to watch more. This is one movie genre I really want back in the cinema's. There has never been, and there may never be an action/adventure film series as great as this one again, and this opening will remind you exactly why all of us fell in love with Indiana Jones in the first place. Spielberg truly deserves the title as one of, if not THE greatest director to have ever lived. Maybe the man in first place is his biggest competition...
