6. Louis Gara (Robert De Niro)
Robert De Niro's portrayal of Louis Gara steals the show every time he's onscreen. He is one of the outright funniest characters Tarantino has written yet and his interactions with Melanie are just pure comedic gold. In a movie filled with professionals working very efficiently Louis stands out for being a bumbling idiot for most of the run time yet you can't help but root for him just as much as any of the characters. It's really in the way that De Niro plays him that makes Louis so effective. De Niro slowly makes him more and more aggravated as Jackie Brown progresses and the end result is tragic yet comedic. A Tarantino staple at this point.
