2. Where Was Wormtail?
Portrayed to perfection by Mike Leigh muse/ character actor extraordinaire Timothy Spall, slime-ball lesser villain Wormtail is amongst the most memorably shifty characters in the Harry Potter universe from his debut in the darker, more mature third instalment, Gravity helmer Alfonso Cuaron’s Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, through to his eventual demise during the climactic Battle of Hogwarts.
Sorry, that’s the book version of this sycophantic creep.
In the films, Wormtail instead appears early on in the final instalment only to disappear from the action completely before the series denouement, leading the audience to assume he either escaped the chaos unseen or was killed anticlimactically offscreen—neither of which makes for much of an ending.
