Anchored by a great, oft-erratic turn from Mark Soper in dual roles, 1987's Blood Rage revolves around twin brothers Todd and Terry.

As youngsters, these siblings end up being taken along for one of their mother's dates at a drive-in theater. Bored, the two take a walk which shockingly concludes with Terry killing some horned-up teenager with an axe. If that wasn't enough, he then puts the bloodied weapon in the hands of his traumatised twin brother, with Todd framed and locked up in a mental institution.

Skipping ahead to Thanksgiving ten years later, the announcement of his mother's engagement triggers Terry's murderous urges to resurface, conveniently at the same time that Todd has escaped and heads home to the complex where the family now live.

The bodies pile up, questions arise once it becomes apparent that Todd is back on the scene, and Blood Rage serves up some fantastically imaginative sequences as torsos are ripped in half and beer-holding hands are severed. Plus, there's a blink-and-you'll-miss-it cameo appearance from genre fave Ted Raimi as a fella randomly selling condoms in a public restroom.
