1. Hannibal King (Blade: Trinity)

I was just going to use one word in this entry - "NO!" - because it's actually infuriating to write about it, but I digress, because I'm going to explain it fully anyway. Unlike his much more calm, collected and sophisticated comic book counterpart (with whom a name is the only shared aspect with the movie character), Blade: Trinity's gung-ho, smart-mouthed and overly cocky interpretation of the Hannibal King character was hideously annoying. You do have to admire him a little bit - even whilst captured and restrained by vampires, facing almost certain death, he refused to let up with witty one-liners and humorous insults (and I do admit, some of those insults were genuinely funny - "you c*ck-juggling thunder-c**t", for example). But it just became too much - way too much. Almost every line he utters is an attempt at being funny and it's out of place in a Blade movie. Whenever there's an action flick with a vacancy for a funny man to please the teenage audience, Ryan Reynolds seems to get the gig. I just don't get that, but that's for another article. He was just the wrong kind of funny for this film. He was supposed to be a hardened vampire hunter, but he was basically Van Wilder with an armoury. So that was ten hideously annoying minor supporting characters in comic book movies. Do you agree with this list? Which other examples can you think of? Let us know in the comments box below.
