9. Conan The Barbarian
Where to begin? Going by its style, this seems like one of those DVD covers that smartly just recycles the awesome original poster, except the composition is just all over the place. The placement of the words "Thief, Warrior, Gladiator, King" on the right hand side is totally uninspired and fails to draw attention to itself, as though it was just errantly drag-and-dropped there because the artist couldn't find space for it elsewhere. Moreover, what the Hell is up with Arnold Schwarzenegger's face? I don't even know whether it's a bad Photoshop or a crappy drawing, but it's hard to discern Arnie's famous countenance from this image. It probably doesn't help that half his face is hidden behind hair and the other a giant sword, but for a film that should sell itself on its leading star, it doesn't make him all that visible, nor does it even include his name for God's sake!
