10 Horror Movie Characters Who Died Off-Screen In The Sequel

2. Alex Price - An American Werewolf In Paris

Final Destination
Universal

An American Werewolf in London concludes with the lycanthropic David Kessler (David Naughton) being shot dead by the police while his lover Alex (Jenny Agutter) watches in anguish.

16 years later in 1997, sequel An American Werewolf in Paris was finally released, albeit without any actors from the original film returning - and certainly not Jenny Agutter.

Yet the film heavily implies that one of its central characters, Sérafine Pigot (Julie Delpy), is the daughter of David and Alex from the first movie, enough to even give Alex a quasi-cameo in the early going.

It's revealed that not only is Sérafine a werewolf, but when her stepfather attempted to cure her lycanthropy, it instead resulted in her instantly transforming and killing both him and her mother.

Sérafine's mother briefly appears as a mutilated ghostly presence early on, and if you're left with any doubt that she's supposed to be Alex, listen to the voice.

Though played by a different actress (Isabelle Constantini) on screen, she's rocking the exact same English twang as Jenny Agutter. Given that Alex was literally the primary surviving character from the first movie, what a waste this was.
