10 Horror Movie Douchebags Who Actually Survived

2. The Bathroom Cheerleader - Scream

Scream Cheerleader
Miramax

A minor but memorable character in the original Scream is the unnamed cheerleader (Leonora Scelfo) who is heard cruelly mocking Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) in the high school bathroom, all without knowing that Sid herself is hiding out in one of the bathroom stalls.

The cheerleader jokingly theorises that Sid could've snapped after her mother's own murder and started killing Woodsboro's student body, yet moments after she and her friend leave the bathroom, a traumatised Sid is attacked by Ghostface.

In a more conventional horror film we absolutely would've seen the cheerleader be brutally killed for her horrible remarks, but this being a subversive riff on slasher movies - and one with a surprisingly low body count at that - she gets away scot-free.

As we never see the cheerleader again, it's safe to assume that Ghostface was never anything more than a passing entertainment in her charmed, obnoxious life.

And this is all without getting into the disgusting fact that the cheerleader didn't even wash her hands after going to the bathroom, instead applying her lipstick immediately afterwards. Ewww.
