In Censor, Enid is watching Frederick North's horror flick, Don't Go Into the Church, when she notices one scene plays out like the way her sister Nina went missing. While viewing another film by North, Enid notices the lead actress, Alice Lee, looks like Nina.

Convinced Nina is being exploited by the film industry, Enid meet's the film's producer. When he becomes violent, Enid kills him in self-defence.

After tracking North down on the set of his latest feature, Enid meets Alice Lee. After being told this will be Alice's final movie, Enid is convinced she's to be murdered and so kills the actor portraying the monster to protect "her sister".

To her horror, Enid learns Alice wasn't in any danger, meaning Enid killed an innocent man. Worst still, she sees Alice is not Nina, implying Enid invented the whole scenario because she blames herself for her sister's disappearance.

Although it's never revealed what happened to Nina, it seems possible Enid killed her when they were kids. North claims Don't Go Into the Church was inspired by a true story, including the scene where the child stabbed her sister to death.

Because Enid has murdered two people (at least) and obviously has a repressed mean streak, it's not too farfetched that she took her sister's life. But because nothing is spelt out, it's encouraged viewers to endlessly speculate on the matter.
