10 Horror Movie Sequels Coming Out In 2021
1. Wrong Turn: The Foundation
Now this one might be a little bit presumptive, because a few sources are insisting that we will see this film come out before the end of 2020, but as things are going right now, I’m inclined toward pessimism…
Director Mike P Nelson has said that the film is wrapped and ready to go. However, it could be that we have to wait longer than a few months to see its release.
It depends who you ask whether this will be called a remake or a reboot/next instalment. The plot follows a group of friends hiking in the Appalachian Trail who find themselves confronted by a community of mountain-dwellers with bad intentions.
It’s a similar but not identical plot to the 2003 original and will once again feature all the best loved aspects of its forerunners: from gratuitous gore to extended cannibal chase scenes.
One producer is quoted as saying that the newest addition to the franchise is a “reflection on our world today,” and I mean, I can’t say that is completely unfair as 2020 has been a dumpster fire of a year that could pretty accurately be reflected in any disaster movie.
