10 Horror Movie Sequels That Were JUST Announced

5. Stream 2

One of the most surprisingly decent horrors of last year was Stream, which despite its rather lackluster poster and trailer was solidly enjoyable, largely due to the sheer bevy of genre names roped in to play - including Jeffrey Combs, Dee Wallace, David Howard Thornton, Felissa Rose, Danielle Harris, Tony Todd, and even Tim Curry in cameo form.

Though certainly too long, it delivered a bevy of fun kills and scored strong reviews from critics and audiences alike, resulting in the recent announcement that Stream 2 is now a-go.

Fuzz on the Lens Productions announced in mid-June that following the first film's success, Stream 2 is in active development, with original director Michael Leavy set to return alongside David Howard Thornton, who will reprise his role as Player 2.

The team has promised a gorier sequel that'll further expand the series' lore, with a clear hope to make Stream a modest ongoing horror franchise in its own right.
