10 Horror Movie Villains Who Would Have Won By Doing NOTHING

4. Viktor - Underworld: Rise Of The Lycans

Fans of the Kate Beckinsale-helmed horror-action series Underworld will know Bill Nighy as all-mighty vampire elder Viktor.

In the first movie, we find out that he actually murdered Beckinsale's character Selene's family and was the one who turned her into a vampire. He's also out to kill Michael, who could become a hybrid between the vampire race and their mortal enemies the Lycans.

All this leads to Selene turning on her mentor, lopping his head off with a big old sword. And that's the end of that... just kidding.

In the prequel movie Underworld: Rise of the Lycans, we find out that the entire conflict between the vamps and wolfs is Viktor's own fault. He discovers that his daughter, Sonja, is in love with - and carrying the child of - the Lycan Lucian. To be fair, who could resist Michael Sheen and his bumbling Welsh charm?

Outraged that his offspring would want to breed with what he deems a lesser race, Viktor has Sonja executed, which sparks the conflict that would define the entire series.

If Viktor had just been chill with having a half-werewolf grandchild, then there would have been no war, no Selene, and no future head removal.
