10 Horror Movies That Keep Tricking Viewers
1. Frailty

Though the late Bill Paxton had a tremendous acting career, his directorial debut proved he was also a gifted filmmaker. Frailty may not have been a big hit at the box office, but it's easy to see why it developed a cult following.
This nerve-shredding thriller opens with the disturbed Fenton Meiks recounting his childhood to an FBI agent, divulging how his father believed he was chosen by an angel to destroy demons. Thinking he couldn't accomplish God's work alone, Dad Meiks tasked his sons, Fenton and Adam, to slaughter regular folk, under the impression they were demons in disguise. Though Fenton thought his father was mentally ill, Adam was certain they were on the side of literal angels. After refusing to take part in his father's evil crusade, Fenton realised he had to take measures into his own hands before the situation escalated.
Even though Frailty is over 20 years old, it would be criminal to spoil the jaw-dropping ending. However, one thing that can be said is that this underrated gem never stops being shocking. Although the story is terrific and the performances are top-notch, it's the numerous revelations in the third act that leave the biggest impression.
