One of the most infamous lawsuits in recent memory, the production of Resident Evil: The Final Chapter came under fire after a scene involving a stuntwoman went horribly wrong.

Olivia Jackson, star Milla Jovovich's stuntwoman, suffered intense injuries after a motorcycle accident left the performer colliding with one of the camera cranes that didn't move when it was supposed to.

Jackson, after being put into a medically-induced coma for two weeks, suffered a laundry list of serious injuries, and ultimately needed one of her arms to be amputated.

Years after the event, Jackson sued the production on the grounds that the filmmakers allegedly changed the stunt without telling her about the new conditions.

Though the American case was thrown out, THR reported that Jackson won the South African case (where the film had shot), after the judge ruled in her favour against the local production company overseeing that specific sequence, concluding it was "negligently planned and executed".
