10 Horror Movies Where You Know Nearly Everyone Will Die

7. V/H/S/94 (2021)

VHS 94
Shudder

The first of the found footage V/H/S series to adopt a clear theme and run with it, V/H/S/94 set the template for the future, redefining and rejuvenating a flagging horror franchise and going straight to Shudder - precisely where it could do the most damage.

Set in - you guessed it - 1994, the movie follows in its predecessors' footsteps with a frame narrative that provides the grounding for its anthology of short films, all with the '90s aesthetics, fashion, technology, and tropes that fans of the decade gobble right up. We are treated to zombies, cyborgs, rat people, and even white supremacists, from an array of directors, writers, and stars, each segment dishing up something unique from the next.

Now, while we never know what horrors we're going to see in a V/H/S movie, we do go in certain that nearly everyone will die, because of the previous films' precedent. A series already established on its fatalities, most of the anthology segments from the previous V/H/S pictures result in the deaths of their characters, including what is pretty much a total wipeout for the characters of V/H/S/2. And, on this front, 94 does not surprise.
