6. The Turning
Considering The Turn of the Screw is a classic in literature terms, it's no surprise it's had it's fair share of screen adaptations for its spooky contents. From a serialised novel, to eight different feature length films, to featuring in CSI and Blade and even Star Trek, it's lasting impression on pop culture is hard to avoid, and in turn (pun intended), so is another remake.
Since the last film released was back in 2009, there's definitely room for a fresh interpretation; especially when featuring Stranger Things's own talented Finn Wolfhard, and Black Mirror favourite Mackenzie Davis straight from the land of San Junipero. Featuring a nanny to two orphans that begins to suspect their country mansion is haunted, it's a classic ghost story, and a campfire tale at its finest.
With Steven Spielberg as executive producer it looks promising at the very least.
