10 Huge Casting Surprises Avengers: Doomsday Could Still Pull

Right now, it's strange to think back to just a few years ago when Matt Murdock was absolutely nowhere to be seen in the MCU. The rights for Marvel's Netflix characters were complicated, and after Daredevil was cancelled in 2018, it seemed as though the Man Without Fear simply didn't have a future in the franchise.

Now in 2025, the character is everywhere. Since 2021, Charlie Cox has made appearances as Daredevil in Spider-Man: No Way Home, She-Hulk, Echo, Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man, and of course, Daredevil: Born Again. He is arguably one of the hottest properties Marvel Studios currently has to boast.

While the biggest draws of No Way Home were obviously Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire, Charlie Cox's appearance was yet another 'oh my god' moment, as Matt Murdock finally hit the MCU big screen. 

Another showing in Doomsday would arguably garner an even bigger reaction from audiences, particularly if he came fully equipped as his vigilante alter-ego, and stepping in the ring with the Avengers. Daredevil is still up there with the biggest names in Marvel Comics, and it's time he joined them on the big screen.
