10 Huge Movie Returns Nobody Ever Expected (THAT ARE FINALLY HAPPENING!)

For a time there, it looked like any hope of Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson returning to the franchise he helped turn into one of the biggest in the business had driven off the edge of a cliff.

The real-life beef between Johnson and Vin Diesel, one that began after Johnson labelled some of his castmates as "candy asses" off the back of working on Fast 8 (via EW), ultimately led to the former claiming to THR that he wouldn't be showing up in any future Fast films after his last appearance as Luke Hobbs in Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw.

But in a shocking turn of events, the former WWE star suddenly turned up in the mid-credits scene during the latest Fast instalment, with Johnson soon noting that he was very much back in the Fast business.

In fact, Hobbs will be appearing in his own damn movie before Fast X: Part II lands in theatres in 2025.

That film will act as a bridge between both parts of that tenth chapter of the saga, and Johnson also explained on Twitter how himself and Diesel had settled their very public issues the previous summer.

So, there you have it. Despite it looking like an impossibility even just a few months ago, daddy is most certainly going back to work...
