10 Iconic Batman Comics That Could Inspire Matt Reeves' Batman Trilogy
5. The Case Of The Chemical Syndicate
Going back to the absolute beginning, this was indeed the very, very first Batman story to have ever been created. Written by Bill Finger and brought to life by Bob Kane, this introduces us to young Billionaire Bruce Wayne as he tags along with his friend, Police Commissioner Jim Gordon, on one of his cases.
Gordon shares with Bruce the details regarding a recent murder case. The owner of a chemical manufacturing plant had been murdered, and his son had been arrested as the prime suspect.
However it soon turns out that he was being framed, with Lambert’s business partners, Stryker, Rogers and Crane, being implicated in the conspiracy. More attacks are carried out on the partners, one of which kill Crane.
Just when all hope seemed lost, in swoops a mysterious presence from the shadows. The Batman marks his presence by saving Rogers and later outing the real mastermind behind it all: Stryker.
Simple yet riveting, just what the world needs from the upcoming Batman reboot.
