It's a shame that all anyone says about this character is that he looks like Darth Maul. Yeah, they do look similar, but judging him on his own terms, The Man With Fire On His Face is an incredible villain. Also known as the Lipstick-Face Demon, this creature doesn't appear at all until halfway through Insidious, with his presence only implied up until that point. But the moment he's revealed is one of the biggest shocks in recent horror history, just popping up right behind Josh out of absolutely nowhere. You see more of him when Josh enters The Further and the demon has Dalton chained to the floor. Above them, the Lipstick-Face Demon is sharpening his claws while surrounded by marionettes and listening to Tiptoe Through The Tulips. That's like five horrifying things all combined into one. While in this dreamlike world of the Further, you get the sense that there's absolutely nothing that can be done to stop this guy. His presence is just overwhelming. If Victor Crowley is your modern Jason, The Man With Fire On His Face is your modern Freddy Krueger. But unlike Freddy, there's no laughing to be had.
