10 Incredible Movie Scenes You Never Got To See

2. T2's Original Future War Scene Was MUCH Longer Than The Final Cut

In the original Terminator, Kyle Reese described his time fighting against the machines under the command of John Connor. There were a couple of scenes in the movie that showed the future war, but they were brief.

The prospect of a Terminator sequel suggested there would be extensive coverage of the future hellscape that was the setting of the war between the survivors of humanity and Skynet, but like the first film, there wasn't a lot there. Once more, only a scant offering was shown, leaving the audience wanting more.

That's not to say T2 isn't an exceptional film without the future war scenes, but it would have been some nice fan-service had they been in there. James Cameron did plan on putting more future war scenes in, which would have offered up an in-depth sequence showcasing the war.

Instead, the film gave audiences a brief prologue. Cameron felt it would cost too much to film the scenes, which wouldn't add much to the narrative of the movie, so he scrapped them.

Additionally, they would have shown Reese going back in time alongside a reprogrammed T-800, but the director felt that part would have confused audiences.
