10 Incredible Movies With Just ONE Awful Scene

6. United 93 – The German Passenger

United 93 German
Universal Pictures

The first and best 9/11 feature film, United 93 is a harrowing, sobering and brilliantly made re-enactment of the doomed United Airlines Flight 93, which was the only plane not to reach its target on 9/11. Despite everyone’s fears prior to release, United 93 ended up being a highly tasteful depiction of the tragedy that did the people involved justice. Well, almost all of them.

One of the 33 passengers onboard the doomed flight was a 37-year-old German man named Christian Adams, who was an export director for the German Wine Institute and was travelling to San Francisco for an event. United 93 depicts Adams as being the only passenger advising the others not to fight back and shortly before the passenger revolt several of them have to physically restrain him when he tries to alert the hijackers to the passengers’ plan.

There is no evidence at all that he did this, while it later turned out his widow didn’t involve herself in the film since it was too painful for her, so this was entirely made-up and in spite of how well-done the film generally is, this depiction of Christian Adams was extremely disrespectful and inappropriate.
