10 Incredible Movies With Just ONE Awful Scene

4. Train To Busan – Opening The Doors

Train To Busan
Next Entertainment World

From one stupid horror movie decision in one of the best horror films of the decade to another.

A zombie film set on a high-speed express train, this tremendous South Korean horror film shames Hollywood with its combination of high-octane, suspenseful thrills and meaningful character moments. It’s a largely seamless piece that’s very well-plotted for the most part, but there’s one enormously jarring moment that could’ve derailed the entire film.

After an elderly woman loses her sister to the zombies, she inexplicably goes over to the carriage doors (where a crowd of zombified passengers, including her sister, are) and opens them, allowing the zombies to kill almost everyone in that carriage, herself included.

This scene not only makes no sense, but feels entirely pointless and wipes out most of the remaining passengers in an unnecessary manner. This is, much like with Snowpiercer, a South Korean film in which far too many characters die.

Thankfully, the film regains its momentum almost immediately after this.
