8. Final Destination: Bloodlines

Final Destination Bloodlines Stefani

Though it is essentially the premise of the entire Final Destination franchise that Death cannot be escaped, there were two proven exceptions to the rule. The one that became increasingly relevant in Bloodlines was being resuscitated and brought back to life after death.

During the events of the sixth and latest chapter of the story, as Death stalked the lineage of Iris (Brec Bassinger) as revenge for the lives saved in the opening scenes, things ultimately wound down to just two people, Charlie and Stefani (Teo Briones and Kaitlyn Santa Juana), the latter of whom was seemingly killed and brought back to life by the former.

It's nigh on impossible, but it can happen as explained by William Bludworth (Tony Todd), leading both Charlie and Stefani, and the audience, to believe that Death's plan had been truly disrupted. Finally, a win for the protagonists in a franchise famously shy on handing out such victories.

It was only at the very end of the film that it was revealed Stefani was never actually dead when she was saved by Charlie, so no plan was spoiled when they let their guard down. Even after it seemed as though they survived a near miss of a train crash, they were both brutally impaled by flying logs in literally the final second of the film. What a way to send audiences home.
