Moving away from blockbuster franchise movies for a moment, there may be some exciting news for all Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson buddy comedy film fans out there.

Released in 2005, the hilarious romance sex comedy Wedding Crashers made almost 300 million dollars at the box office off of a 40 million dollar budget. The film was a smash hit thanks to the chemistry of Vaughn and Wilson, the hilariously psychotic performance from Isla Fisher and genius writing by Steve Faber and Bob Fisher.

In a recent interview, Vaughn confirmed that he, Wilson and Wedding Crashers' director David Dobkin, were having talks about writing a sequel and were extremely excited about the prospect of reuniting with the team for the first time in 15 years. Although Wilson has continued to flex his funny bone on screen in recent years, Vaughn has taken a step in a more serious direction starring in grittier films such as Hacksaw Ridge, Dragged Across Concrete and Brawl In Cell Block 99.

Despite his streak of dramatic roles, Wedding Crashers 2 could be just the ticket for Vaughn's glories return to comedy.
