10 Insane Rumours For Upcoming Superhero Movies
4. Black Suit Superman Will Show Up At The End - Black Adam
Black Adam recently wrapped shooting, and though Dwayne Johnson has been attached to the titular role for years and years, he was actually originally intended to make his big-screen debut in the role as the villain of Shazam!
Black Adam was later removed from Shazam! to ensure an actor of Johnson's profile had his own star vehicle first, and ever since a Black Adam solo movie has been in the works, fans have speculated on the possibility of a supporting part for Henry Cavill's Superman.
Cavill himself said back in 2018 that there were tentative plans for Superman and Black Adam to face off eventually, and recent rumours suggest that Cavill may indeed be returning for a small cameo role in the movie.
If the murmurs are correct, Cavill will reprise the part of Black Suit Superman that he played in Zack Snyder's Justice League, possibly appearing in a post-credits scene to set up a future conflict with Black Adam.
How Likely Is It?: Cavill certainly had time in his schedule after wrapping The Witcher's second season to film a cameo in Black Adam, though one suspects the DCEU as a whole is going to keep distancing itself from the wider universe centered around the Justice League.
With Warner Bros. already planning new Superman movies without Cavill, who hasn't filmed anything new for the DCEU in many years now, it seems like his tenure is most likely over.
